The focus of Roland's work is enhancing energy resource efficiency by using science and technology as key drivers for managing risk and unlocking value.
Since completing his PhD, Dr Barbullushi has divided his career between working for the sustainable development and generation of energy resources on one hand, and the enhancing climate resilience on the other. In his quest to understand the geoscientific laws that drive the evolution of our planet and the natural world and the economic principles that underpin the commerciality of the energy resources, he has learned the importance of climate-resilient pathways in both, energy generation and energy use. Through working closely in integrated teams, he has become familiar with many disciplines - an experience that has made the challenges of integration and of energy resource efficiency enhancement familiar to him.
Through working for 30 years to build the best possible understanding of how our planet works - using a multidisciplinary approach - he has gained unique insights that have been driving his way of living in harmony with the natural world.
